On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and the International Scientific Advisory Committee, we are pleased to announce the

14th Meeting of the European Society of Sonochemistry, ESS14,

that will be held at Avignon University, France, on June 2-6, 2014.

This Meeting is organized by two fully complementary teams:

- GREEN Extraction Team UMR 408- INRA- Avignon University and

- Laboratory of Sonochemistry in Complex Fluids from Marcoule Institute for Separation Chemistry

The growing interest in sonochemistry is motivated by its potential and already existing applications in various fields, such as:

- ultrasonic cleaning,

- mass and heat transfer processing,

- materials chemistry,

- food chemistry and bioprocessing,

- catalysis,

- environmental remediation and many others.

On the other hand, the origin of sonochemical activity is still a challenge despite recent significant achievements in our understanding of the processes governing the formation of chemically active species during acoustic cavitation in homogeneous solutions and heterogeneous systems.

The ESS14 meeting aims at bringing together more than 100 scientists and experts from both academic and industry, for exchange of fertilizing ideas providing further progress in fundamental sonochemistry and ultrasonic processing.

We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
